Misha Meghna lives in a dream world. Or at least her subjects do. The UK based art director and photographer specializes in iconic imagery with dream like aesthetics. Her main subjects are women but that doesn’t stop her from successfully capturing the often overlooked femininity in men as well. Unlike most of us today who only know DSLR, Misha still loves to use film which is noticeable in her work. In an interview with THRDS she explains how she loves the unpredictability of it saying, “you don’t know what you’re shooting, you don’t know what you’re gonna get.” I first came across her work through Nadia Aboulhosn after Misha took some beautiful photos of the blogger and model. She’s worked with brands like Adidas, ASOS, London Fashion Week and more. My favorite imagery of hers are her ethereal photographs of beautiful women. Usually taken at night, Misha illuminates her models faces with glowing magentas and cyans, catapulting them into a fantasy world that is only magnified through the almost grainy film quality of her visuals.
