This post is almost a week overdue but… I just tried to think of an excuse but I got nothing. This past Friday, the 24th after spending the day trying (and failing) to do homework I went to show support for some of my friends who were promoting a block party. One of them had a bunch of his art there and also performed. The others were documenting the event or like me, providing moral support.
The block party was cool. There was a super diverse crowd, food, art, and performances. I wore some black snake print shoes from H&M that had elastic panels on each side and rubber soles, but afterwards, I changed into my nude minimal Anne Michelle heels to go to what I thought was an art showcase with my friend Matt. Turns out it was just more of a networking event at a clothing boutique in Buckhead that happened to have like three pieces of art. We didn’t stay long. After that, Matt and I met up with some other friends at this restaurant called Twin Peaks (which is basically another Tilted Kilt or Hooters) and bar hopped for the rest of the night.
Now let me tell you, those Anne Michelle heels are extremely uncomfortable. Wearing those shoes for more then an hour made me feel like my feet were on fire. I could barely walk after the “art showcase” and had to change back into my H&M shoes when we went to Twin Peaks but stupidly changed back into the heels for the bar hopping. I still have blisters and bruises.
It sucks that they are so damn uncomfortable. You have no idea how hard I’d been looking for a pair of truly nude minimal heels and no, I don’t mean white people nude, I mean my nude. I mean the light brown, slightly darker than camel that matches my skin tone. I’ve finally found them and they’re excruciating to wear :'( I’m most likely going to try to wear them again because I mean come on! Look at them! I just need to find some comfortable padding or soles. Until then, those babies will be sitting on the bench.
Speaking of searching for the perfect nude, the same goes for the top I’m wearing. I never thought I’d find a tank that matches my skin tone which sucks because I love neutrals, but I was in Old Navy of all places with my mom one day and came across it on sale for $2.45. I bought two 🙂
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I vlogged so I’ll be working on editing the video for this day soon. I’ve edited one video before in my life so we’ll see how this goes. Wish me luck!
